Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive support and guidance to clients across Europe within the Paint Systems domain of our Customer Service Business Line in the Robotics Division in Friedberg. You will be responsible for managing technical assessments, aligning customer requirements with ABB’s product portfolio, and ensuring successful project negotiations through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in a multicultural environment.The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid, RemoteThis role is contributing to the Business Line Customer Service within Robotics Division in Friedberg, Germany. Main stakeholders are European customers, European customer Service teams, internal engineering teams, project management, and global ABB entities.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tProviding technical advice and support to clients across Europe, including the preparation and delivery of presentations and technical evaluations.•\tDeveloping tailored proposals with cost calculations and managing proposal finalization and contract negotiations.•\tAnalyzing customer requirements and aligning them with ABB’s solutions, ensuring technical feasibility and compliance.•\tCoordinating international bid activities and acting as a key technical representative to strengthen trust and customer relationships.Our team dynamicsYou will join a highly skilled, supportive, and collaborative team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

You are highly skilled in plant engineering, control technology, and robotic systems, with experience in the automotive paint sector.You have 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in project leadership roles within plant engineering and robot systems for the Paint sector.Possess an enhanced knowledge of control engineering principles, mechanical design, and the fundamentals of contract management in cross-border collaborations.You bring experience in working within intercultural, European project environments, demonstrating strong empathy, communication skills, and the ability to think and work in a structured, process-oriented manner with assertiveness and confidence in stakeholder management.Degree in Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.You are at ease communicating in English (written and spoken), with a strong command of technical English; German language skills are advantageous.High flexibility and willingness to travel up to 40%.Self-driven with a professional demeanor and excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
