Role Overview:

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Technical Project Manager, to work alongside the SPI Programme Manager for the LCST contract.  Have you worked alongside or integrated with an Information Services (IS) department to matrix manage the delivery of change and projects?  Have you experience of stakeholder management to execute the successful integration of projects into departments and business?  Fancy bringing tried and tested or fresh ideas for how project execution can be done differently and successfully?  The LCST Technical Project Manager (SPI) is the role is perfect for you!!  

The P3M cadre provides governance of project on behalf of the LCST IS department which is the backbone of a £6Bn programme ensuring the continued running and delivery of critical services to Defence and Front Line Commands (FLCs).  The department continues to grow ensuring that it evolves and matures to deliver to the changing needs and demands of our Defence partners.  Project delivery and change management are fundamental to the success of the IS department and an ever-growing scope of internal change requests alongside those from the customer need to be successfully scoped, managed, resourced and executed to maintain our output.   

The Technical Project Manager (SPI) will be an integral figure in the shaping, maturing & execution of new ways of working to ensure that LCST P3M continue to execute change whilst maintaining the operational output of current IS systems.  You will work alongside senior IS Heads of function negotiating and agreeing change and technical uplift which will then be integrated and embedded within the organisation.
 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver, manage and integrate new Commissioning Management Organisation (CMO) and BAU Changes into the IS departmentCoordinate internal resources and partners for the flawless execution of projectsEnsure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetDeveloping project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityEnsure resource availability and allocationUse appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costsManage the relationship with all stakeholdersPerform risk management to minimise project risksCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationResponsible for the integration and cross-collaboration with the Change Management team, covering responsibilities on an as required basis

Skills Required:

Proven track record in successfully delivering projects or task work packagesAble to demonstrate experience (minimum 5 years) in Project ManagementAn understanding of or experience in working with Jira and Jira workflowsGood interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relations to support achieving objectivesAbility to engage and work within a multi-functional programme team comprising both customer, supplier and internal staff with an awareness of IS principlesAble to demonstrate a sound understanding of business, finance and personnel management techniques and the commercial aspects of projectsThe ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectivelyEnthusiastic self-starter with good verbal communicationExcellent written communication through the use of e-mail, presentations and reports
