Technical Project Management – AdvisorWhat does a successful Technical Project Management – Advisor do at Fiserv?
As a Technical Project Management – Advisor, you will apply both traditional (Waterfall) and Agile methodologies in managing large software development and infrastructure projects. You will be collaborative in designing and employing repeatable and supportable processes for ensuring success in each of the SDLC phases of the project.
This role will sit in our TeleCheck project management group within the Fiserv Merchant Solutions (Alternative Payments) line of business.
What you will do:
Interface with development teams, infrastructure teams, product owners, implementation specialists and clients to coordinate project planning, scheduling, monitoring, risks, issues, and resource assignment activitiesDefine and review technical scope, requirements, deliverables and estimates prior to presenting project plans to customersCreate and maintain a project schedule and timeline, highlighting the major milestones and associated dates for program activitiesMaintain and manage relationships and expectations of parties/teams external to TeleCheckOrganize and participate in meetings with project team members and ensure timely communicationsProvide resolution to project issues resulting in disruption to internal or customer activities or escalate as neededAssist teams with problem resolution to include root cause analysis, problem resolution and recommendations to senior staffCommunicate project progress by preparing and presenting status reports to project stakeholders/sponsorsWhat you will need to have:
6+ years of working experience successfully leading and implementing large, complex projects in a high-tech software development environment with multi-functional teams6+ years of experience in a project or program management role3+ years of experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management3+ years of experience working within an Agile development environmentBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experienceWhat would be great to have:
Experience in the banking, payments, financial systems, or software domainsExperience with Microsoft Tools: Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, TeamsExperience with Clarity, Jira, Confluence, and/or ServiceNowExperience with Cybersecurity and Technology Risk Management (CTRM) processes and toolsImportant info about this role:
