Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + 2 years of experience in program or project management, leading multi-disciplinary projects. + Experience in AutoCAD for data center design and engineering tasks. + Experience in space planning for buildings. Preferred qualifications: + Experience managing large-scale construction projects, within an international working environment. + Experience working with data center equipment/environments, including core and shell. + Experience designing data centers, server halls, warehouses, or large complex facilities. + Experience working with or within architectural and engineering firms. + Experience managing vendor relationships, with an understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry. + Understanding of server floor equipment layout including telecom and IT rack requirements. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. This includes placement of server racks, network equipment, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and cooling systems. + Design cable tray systems to support data and power cabling for server racks and other equipment. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cable management. + Calculate power requirements for server racks and other equipment, taking into account redundancy and future growth. Collaborate with electrical engineers to design power distribution systems that meet these requirements. + Determine optimal placement and configuration of server racks, ensuring adequate airflow, bus duct accessibility, optimal network cable routes and maintenance accessibility. + Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software for construction, documentation, and asset management.
