Consider This – Have you looked at the top corporate priorities, heard about chips, companies and governments world over have realized that they cannot rely on old playbooks and identified a need to have better systems to provide visibility and confidence that the suppliers are managing their risks. Want to participate and help?

As a key contributor to the Supply Chain Sustainability Digitalization efforts, you can implement transformative Ford – Supplier collaboration efforts. Ford is seeking visionary, skilled, and ambitious professionals to help us create innovative and scalable processes and solutions to help the enterprise stay compliant with emerging Sustainability and ESG regulations across regions.

Position Responsibilities:

Looking for a Technical Product Management & Integration Specialist to be part of Supply Chain Sustainability IT team. This individual will have prior experience in designing and implementing IT solutions that would digitize and automate business processes to bring enhanced transparency and visibility to Ford’s extended, multi-tiers supply chain, and enable Ford to meet legal and mandatory requirements in supply chain.

The ideal candidate would be a seasoned software professional, e.g., a current or former Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect, who wants to move into a PDO technical leadership role where instead of implementing requirements provided by others, you lead the gathering of requirements and work with stakeholders for implementation and delivery. This requires the individual to effortlessly wear many hats such as Product Owner, Product Designer, Architect, Integration Specialist, Delivery Manager, and so on, and close gaps in a highly cross-functional collaboration environment. The individual will need to leverage their strong technical foundation to effortlessly traverse across the boundaries of these roles across Product Lifecycle, while also executing effective project management for the product team.

In particular, the position duties include:

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with business and legal to define new capabilities and use-cases that meet regulatory requirements in the Sustainability  space. Engage with the Product Owner and to define product strategy and roadmap for implementation. Step up as Product Owner as needed, and lead technical discovery work at a rapid speed to ensure delivery of an enterprise solution covering global requirements. Collaborate with internal and external technical peers (Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, Software Engineers, Security Controls Champions, and Vendors) to design and validate technical approaches and designs. Develop relationships and maintain a knowledge of the ecosystem.

Product Design, Implementation and Delivery: Lead development of requirements, features, use cases, and test scenarios, in alignment with different stakeholders. Author process flow and design documents. Work closely with Product Managers of other PDO teams and Enterprise Architects to review datasets in source applications and systems within Ford and map functional requirements to data attributes. Working closely with vendors and partners, design and create actionable software development and enterprise integration activities to move from solution design to implementation including  development, integration, testing and deployment. Generate Metrics, Build Deployment Pipelines and Perform System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing. Participate and/or lead incident, change and service request related activities including root cause analysis and proactive problem management / defect prevention activities.

Communication: Clearly communicate vision and strategy to cross functional teams, senior leaders, and stakeholders to gain alignment. Grow subject matter expertise, provide guidance to other team members. A project manager usually assigns tasks to others – whereas a technical product manager and integration specialist will work closely with others, gain a deeper understanding of the product requirements, get more hands-on with technical discovery work and translating product requirements into technical requirements – by leveraging a foundation of strong communication skills. Ability to coordinate and harness knowledge at a fast pace and effectively communicate evolving POV to transition discovery work into solution design is crucial.

Design Thinking and Research / Spikes: Evaluate emerging industry trends and technologies. Identify opportunities for business process and technology improvements to address gaps and assist in solution design. Plan and conduct ideation sessions and facilitate prioritization of relevant ideas. Seek continuous feedback, and facilitate research driven product decisions.

Live and breathe Agile: Participate in ceremonies that help define the work to be done, improve team process, and align the team to specific objectives. For instance, participate in Daily Standups, Story Creation and Backlog Grooming, Retrospectives, and Epics/Sub-Epics/Story Acceptance sessions. Ensure effective usage of Rally/Jira and derive meaningful insights from Rally/Jira like Velocity, Throughput etc. to enable the team to go further. Partner with Product Owners / Managers and develop and as required execute test scenarios at various levels (functional, user acceptance) within Agile Framework.
