Digital Solutions is a small but dynamic incubator within ZF Aftermarket, focused on developing innovative software and hardware solutions for the Independent Automotive Aftermarket (IAM). Our portfolio includes products targeting workshops and fleets, helping them embrace digital transformation. As we scale our team to support these efforts, we are looking for a skilled Technical Marketing Specialist.
Technical Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in translating complex technical product features into clear, engaging, and customer-focused content. This position ensures the creation of high-quality materials, from product documentation to marketing assets, that drive product understanding and implementation.
Your tasks:
Develop and refine technical marketing materials, including brochures, product datasheets, presentations, and one-pagers, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with strategic goals. Maintain comprehensive product documentation, such as user guides, online help centers, FAQs, and technical specifications, using independent judgment to prioritize content needs and address critical user concerns. Create educational content for distributors, end-users, and workshops, focusing on practical how-to guides, training materials, and onboarding resources that enhance product adoption. Produce training resources, including step-by-step product walkthroughs, how-to videos, and visual aids, simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences. Develop engaging tutorials and video demonstrations, ensuring content is actionable and effectively supports customer success. Support go-to-market strategies by crafting compelling messaging for product launches, ensuring alignment with the brand voice and broader business objectives. Collaborate with Product Marketing Managers and cross-functional teams to create content that highlights product value propositions, key features, and competitive advantages. Design and maintain templates for repeatable content assets, including case studies, sales enablement tools, and campaign resources, streamlining content production. Oversee localization efforts for technical and marketing materials, ensuring quality and consistency across all target markets. Analyze content effectiveness using metrics and feedback, making data-driven improvements to optimize engagement and impact. Work closely with product and engineering teams to stay informed about new developments, updates, and features, ensuring all content is accurate and up to date. Address significant communication challenges by bridging the gap between technical details and customer needs, ensuring product benefits are effectively conveyed. Exercise independent judgment in content development, balancing technical accuracy with marketing appeal while aligning with business priorities.
Your profile:
Experience: 5+ years of wide-ranging experience in technical writing, technical marketing, or a related field, with a strong ability to manage diverse stakeholders and align content with business objectives. Background in the automotive, software, or technology sectors is a significant advantage. Technical Expertise: High level of technical knowledge, with the ability to understand and simplify complex concepts for various audiences while maintaining accuracy and clarity. Content Development Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience spanning technical documentation, educational materials, and marketing copywriting. The ability to tailor tone and style for different stakeholders is essential. Design & Multimedia Proficiency: Experience beyond technical writing, including familiarity with design, visual content creation, and video production. Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software is a plus. Localization & Global Communication: Understanding of localization processes and the ability to adapt content for different markets while ensuring consistency. Stakeholder Management: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and engineering, to develop impactful content. Languages: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field. Compensation Data
