The Role  

Proofpoint is looking for an experienced technologist who loves to educate the market on the technical value proposition of Proofpoint’s products. You would put together the story arc, demos and presentations that will bring to life how Proofpoint’s underlying technologies are protecting people and defending data.

Your day-to-day 

Collaborate with product management, architects and CTO office to craft compelling value propositions, messaging and contentCreate and maintain technical marketing collateral, including whitepapers, solution briefs, presentations, videos, demos and blog postsWork closely with Sales Engineering and Enablement teams to roll out messaging, tools and content  Serve as technical evangelist and spokesperson for Proofpoint at industry events, conferences, webinars and customer meetings

What you bring to the team 

5+ years of technical marketing, product marketing, product management or sales engineering in information securityTechnical understanding of information security, AI/ML, cloud technologiesProven track record of developing and executing technical marketing strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, demand generation and market leadershipExcellent written and presentation skills – able to distill complex technical concepts into clear, differentiated and compelling messaging and content.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes flexible time off, a robust well-being program that provides for 4 global wellbeing days per year, and a 3-week work from anywhere option.

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 189,750.00 - 278,300.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 158,400.00 - 232,320.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 144,825.00 - 212,410.00 USD
