Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM) 

The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment, and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability. 

The Opportunity:

The Technical Maintenance and Supply Assurance Officer is responsible to the Ship Lead for the delivery of assurance activities of the Annual, One plus One, and Five-Year Work Programs for the platform being supported.

You will review and monitor ACS CLCM maintenance activities, and develop working relationships with the ACS Systems Program Office, CLCM, Regional Maintenance Provider, and RAN personal to provide confidence that suppliers are competent to undertake work, and that supplies are fit for purpose.

The Technical Maintenance and Supply Assurance Officer will ensure consideration is given to the source of vendor equipment (including spares and support) with respect to RAN commonality, Australianisation to improve supportability, and AIC.

This role is based out of Garden Island, Sydney.

Responsibilities:

Review and assurance of TPCCs and associated progress reporting metrics, Contribute to programmatic assurance reports over the Stage Gate 1 to 6 end to end processes, Review and monitoring of ACS CLCM maintenance activities, Review and monitoring of stores demands and deliveries, Contribute to the analysis of continuous schedule risk as an assurance activity to the planning, scheduling in accordance with the Stage Gate exit points IPT’s, EMP IPT’s and PEB’s, Available to embark RAN ships for periods in support of CLCM activities. 

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential: 

As a minimum, Vocational Education and Training qualification in Engineering. Defence Project and contract management experience. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Maintenance Assurance in a Defence role. Working knowledge of NLIS Systems (CMTU and AMPS).Ability to work collaboratively, but can also operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and evidence-based decision-making skills. 

Desirable: 

Engineering diploma or maritime competences & trade skills. Prior experience as a Waterfront Engineer or Ship Superintendent (Defence). Proven skills and experience in leading contracted planned maintenance and breakdown activities. Working knowledge in Naval systems, such as MILIS, NAVALLOW. 

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
