The Work You'll Do:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to join our organization, which specializes in developing and maintaining tax processing applications. The Technical Lead will not only oversee the technical team but will also actively participate in hands-on development tasks. The Technical Lead will mentor software engineers and ensure that all projects adhere to the highest quality standards. By directly participating in coding, reviewing, and maintaining code, the Technical Lead will provide innovative solutions to complex development challenges.

Key Position Responsibilities

Serve as a technical mentor and coach to other software engineers Lead and elevate performance of software development teams Build a collaborative partnership with our Product Management team Lead the development, testing and deployment of software applications and solutions including estimating development schedules and determining project scope Champion a culture of code quality and continual learning and growth throughout the department Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality Define & maintain design specifications and standards as well as coach others in adopting them Integrate technology, process, test and business practices

What We Ask of You:

Many years spent working successfully in a similar type role (7+ years is ideal, but quality beats quantity!) Experience leading or mentoring a group or team Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced dynamic environment Skilled in software/systems architecture Expert in service-oriented design principles Expert in developing resilient services in C# Experience with Javascript front-end technologies (React, Angular JS) a plus Experience with micro service patterns a plus Due to client contractual obligations - the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
