Job Description

Job Duties:

Travel throughout a defined territory to scheduled appointments.

Interact with customers to facilitate installations and provide product education and energy saving tips.

Provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications.

Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning and effectiveness of products.

Provide technical expertise to identify, analyze and resolve issues.

Apply and secure insulation in residential buildings using blowing, nailing, and other installation methods.

Draft proof houses to reduce air leakage.

Assist with installing new high-efficiency bathroom fans.

Fit insulation around obstructions and between studs and joists, install vapor barriers.

Work within a team, occasionally acting as a team lead to complete or coordinate work.

Be knowledgeable about safety procedures and instruct and train new workers on job responsibilities, safety measures, and all other company rules and regulations.

Determine the appropriate residential insulation requirements based on project site and building. code/program requirements per region and job location.

Operate equipment and machinery and ensure ongoing maintenance and repair work as required.

Work with office and management teams to support appropriate work schedules and coordination of activities including additional staff considerations and inventory management.

Order and pick up supplies as required.

Work to resolve issues and improve program efficiencies and quality control.

Skill Requirements:

Minimum 1-3 years relevant industry or residential construction experience

Insulation installation experience

Roofing experience

Experience and comfort working at heights

Strong communication skills

An ability to interact professionally and positively with customers and co-workers

Strong organizational and time management skills

Valid British Columbia driving license required

Experience driving a three-ton truck is an asset

Knowledge of safe power tools usage
