Job Role: Technical Illustrator

Job Location: The role is in the Baxter R&D facility in Whitefield, Bangalore, India.

Job Profile:

The Technical Illustrator will create and develop graphics of company products to support end-users and technicians, including technical and user documentation, instructions, illustrations, and digital 2D/3D content. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team of technical writers, product development teams, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to complete and deliver all illustrations and artwork to support project schedules and product releases.

Required Skills, Education & Experience:

5+ years of experience in technical illustration, graphic design, or mechanical drawing/draftingProven illustration skills, with excellent attention to detail.Ability to use photos, vector graphics, CAD files, dimensional drawings, and sketches to create detailed technical illustrations.Expert level of proficiency with illustration/CAD tools, e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Solid Edge.Proficiency with illustration/graphic tools, e.g. PTC IsoDraw and Cinema 4D.Understanding and application of technical illustration and graphic art principles, concepts, practices, and standards.Ability to learn, understand, and work within the constraints of the FDA and other regulatory entities.Familiarity with the process of creating line art and photographic art for multiple printing outputs (print and web-based publications).Superior communication skills to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.Excellent project management skills, including the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects.

Expert/advanced level of proficiency for the following:

Adobe PhotoshopAdobe IllustratorPTC IsoDraw (or similar 2D software used to create and update technical illustrations for product and service information)Solid Edge/Teamcenter (or similar 3D CAD engineering/drafting software like SolidWorks, etc.)Cinema 4D (or similar 3D modeling, animation, simulation, and rendering software to create photo realistic renderings)

Work Environment

Mondays through Fridays for 45 hours per week. There will be some flexibility in work hours depending on project requirements and support needs. This is currently a hybrid position and requires at least 3 onsite days in our office in Whitefield, Bangalore, India.
