The Technical Financial Analyst role provides full-time monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business process & controls support. The successful incumbent will develop key working relationships with members of the Shared Services teams and Controllers group. This role will work with these teams to drive successful budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and application of process controls. The role requires a motivated individual with high initiative, strong organization and analytical skills, excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and advanced proficiency with MS Excel. This role reports to the Director, Financial Planning & Analytics.

Supports financial reporting process Compilation of data to prepare key performance indicators and related analytics (Corporate Update & Regional Analysis) Assist with preparing month-end management reporting package Provide monthly analytics and reports company-wideProcess & Controls
Perform data governance related data analysis and clean up Analyze system security requests and provide recommendations Assist in reviewing and maintaining control processes and activities Review Monthly and Quarterly security reportsQuarterly
Monthly activities as per above Drive budgeting and forecasting for Corporate Services group and Major Projects Liaise with IT Contract Specialist to track software spending across the company, analyzing variances and making forecasting recommendations Conduct market research to help benchmark the company against its peers Assist in compiling and maintaining the risk register and related analysis, and following up with controllers group where applicableAnnually
Prepare analysis in support of the annual Corporate Office and Shared Service allocations to the regions Prepare analysis and make recommendations for regional labour burden rates for annual updatesOther
