Technical Expert - Fuel Delivery Modules

In this position... 
 

The Fuel Delivery Module Technical Expert will lead the Core Fuel Delivery Module team to provide robust and reliable components that meet system level functional requirements for all global Ford ICE programs. This Technical Expert will act as the lead technical resource both internally and externally on component functionality and provide technical support to global teams on Fuel Delivery Module matters. 

This position requires strong engineering, analytical, and communication skills to be successful.

BS/MS in Engineering At least 10 years of design and release experience with at least 6 years specific to fuel delivery modules Experienced user of D&R tools such as WERS, Teamcenter, FEDE, Global 8D, DFMEA, DVP&R, PV, APQP Reviews, and AIMs Self-starter with excellent communication skills who can oversee others as they prepare new products in accordance with GPDS program deliverables, develop a workplan and drive the process both inside of Ford and with the supply base to meet the deliverables Strong problem-solving skills for complex issues using a data-driven approach Strong coaching skills to assist in the development of new team members Strong organizational skills with a firm understanding of Ford processes and tools  Technical Specialist evidence book required

As the Fuel Delivery Module Technical Expert, you will define Roles and Responsibilities for the Core Fuel Delivery Module team and develop and monitor workplans to achieve team goals. Lead overall design, validation, and launch of Fuel Delivery Modules (gasoline & diesel). Author and maintain core quality documents such as DFMEA, ESOW’s, Design Rules, SCCAF’s, and Fuel Delivery Module engineering specification. Monitor warranty trends for launched Fuel Delivery Modules. Lead issue resolution including data collection and analysis to support root cause confirmation and corrective actions.  In addition, be responsible to communicate issues with their resolution plans to upper management in forums including FQR, DQR, CCRG, TRG, FRC, etc. Oversee the development of DV & PV plans to ensure sign-off by the proper milestones for new model development as well as supplier driven change management. Ensure the Fuel Delivery Module team supports STA for APQP and Launch Readiness Reviews. Support SREA review and approval process. Support Purchasing team in Fuel Delivery Module commodity business planning. Lead TDR discussions for FDM topics (Tech Club support).
