In the role of Technical Editor, we'll count on you to:Edit and format technical documents (mainly environmental analyses and federal grant applications, but also proposals and other types of documents).Edit documents for spelling, punctuation, and grammar plus style, flow, clarity, conciseness, organization, voice, and user focus.Format documents in Microsoft Word according to an existing template.Have strong skills in consistency and attention to detail.Work with the author to better understand assumptions or logic if needed to resolve edits.Have an analytical mindset and suggest ways to make a document better, not just correct.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with NEPA environmental documentsExperience with federal grant applicationsProficiency with Adobe InDesignRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Journalism, English or closely related field A minimum of 3 years technical editing experience Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of Adobe and InDesign An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
