Technical Domain Manager, RSE
**Summary:** Meta's Site Engineering (RSE) Data Center team plays a pivotal role in scaling our infrastructure to support billions of users worldwide. By embracing our hacker roots and challenging conventional approaches, this team forms the technical backbone that empowers Meta to fulfill its mission. They are responsible for the design, budgeting, procurement, deployment, and standardization of office technology across Meta Data Centers globally, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design and build-out of various spaces, including conference rooms, helpdesks, logistics spaces, and security operation centers. This role encompasses a broad range of technologies, including audio visual systems, video conferencing systems, printers, digital signage, and corporate office network infrastructure.This role involves building relationships and processes to ensure success throughout the planning, design, construction, deployment, and handover phases of data center build projects. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and project management skills, with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and effective communication to drive productivity and service improvements. **Required Skills:** Technical Domain Manager, RSE Responsibilities: 1. Oversight across AV implementations in new and existing Meta Data Center regions, including project management and deployment of audio visual/video conferencing and end user technology 2. Support all aspects of data center construction and AV deployment, including new sites, collocation build-outs, retrofits, and ensuring seamless integration of new infrastructure for scalability 3. Drive alignment of Data Center EE technology milestones, tracking, and reporting of data center projects, and develop and track budgets, forecasts, and actuals for Data Center AV build projects 4. Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices, and initiate and lead strategic initiatives driving efficiency, innovation, and standardization 5. Collaborate with network engineering, security, design engineering, and construction teams to generate technology infrastructure design packages, and engage with third-party vendors for hardware procurement, scheduling, and integration 6. Act as a subject matter expert for the physical infrastructure and design and deployment of AV in Meta Data Centers, and provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases 7. Perform site visits, risk management, change management, day-to-day coordination, and quality assurance for projects and tasks, and maintain technical reference, process, and training documentation 8. Build and nurture business relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors, and influence future iterations of data center AV designs 9. Use drafting software to markup architectural drawings with electrical and data symbols, and consult with Design Engineering/SMEs for non-standard spaces 10. Manage onsite integration for all new builds/retrofits, remove roadblocks for technicians on-site during deployment, and perform testing and commissioning handovers from Meta commissioning technician and third-party vendors **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 11. Bachelor's degree in technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience 12. 5+ years of work experience with designing and deploying large-scale AV infrastructure 13. Knowledge of the data center architecture and network design, construction, and start up/commissioning processes 14. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving large-scale build projects 15. Track record of solving problems, setting strategic direction, and executing tactically 16. Organizational, multitasking, prioritization and communication experience 17. Experience with architectural/MEP driven design process, drawings and schematics 18. Understanding of audio & video signal flow 19. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience. Working knowledge of internet networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and optical transport technologies 24. Knowledge of enterprise and provider level network hardware platforms (IP + Optical) 25.
