Technical Designer(s) (full-time, multiple openings) needed in Morristown, New Jersey to consult with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements of structures, and plan layouts of structural architectural projects. Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, and materials used. Perform predesign services, such as feasibility or environmental impact studies. Collaborate and communicate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, vendors and regulatory agencies to resolve complex technical and design issues to meet overall project objectives, and ensure builder compliance with design specifications, and advise on design corrections. Establish design standards, space planning, and programming based on clients' functional and spatial requirements while meeting conceptual design goals. Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design (graphic presentations, physical models, 2D/3D renderings), design development, construction documents and production for core and shell architecture projects.
Must have a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, plus two (2) years of design experience (non-intern, non-fellowship) with all of the following:
(1) Translating an architect's sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images; using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, parametric design software, 2D/3D software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Grasshopper, 3ds MAX, Bluebeam Revu, Rhino, and Enscape;
(2) Participating in all project phases, including Conceptual Designs, graphic presentations, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents in AutoCAD and/or Revit;
(3) Producing high quality renderings, site plans, sections, elevations and construction details for life science, hospitality, entertainment, transportation-oriented, multifamily residential, mixed-use, office developer, and retail clients and developing all design stages of large complex projects and experience in mixed use, business office, and retail development;
(4) Developing the schematic design of the core and shell of a building, including the lobby, curtain wall system, parking, elevator banks, internal/exterior staircases, core, bathrooms and terraces; entrance and circulation strategy;
(5) Delivering concept and schematic design package, which includes site analysis, design concept, design narrative, floor plans, sections, elevations and renderings; utilizing site surveys, design sketches and other inputs to prepare digital architectural models using Revit and/or CAD based on BIM development standards;
(6) Façade development (product and material specification);
(7) Performing environmental analysis to understand the daylighting and lighting required for the space planning; AND
(8) Facilitating multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with general contractor, structural, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), lighting, façade, acoustics, interiors, landscape, civil consultants, and working directly with other consultants and/or contractors.
In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree design experience (non-intern, non-fellowship). Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree design experience (non-intern, non-fellowship) must include experience with all of the following:

The base salary range is $87,589.00 to $100,000.00, commensurate with relevant experience. In addition, standard benefits will be offered, and employees will be eligible for bonuses.
