Job Title: Technical Delivery Manager
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery Management:
o Lead and manage technical project delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders.
o Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects.
o Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
o Oversee the project life cycle, including the initial phase, execution, and final delivery to ensure successful outcomes.
Stakeholder Management:
o Communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project scope, objectives, and timelines.
o Act as the point of contact for senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.
o Identify and address potential issues or roadblocks, ensuring a smooth project flow.
Team Leadership:
o Lead, motivate, and mentor project teams, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance environment.
o Work with technical leads to allocate resources effectively and manage workloads.
o Provide guidance and support to team members, helping resolve technical challenges.
Risk & Issue Management:
o Proactively identify risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and track resolution.
o Escalate critical risks to leadership as necessary to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
Quality Assurance:
o Ensure that all deliverables meet the organization’s quality standards and client expectations.
o Implement processes to continuously monitor and improve project delivery.
Budget & Resource Management:
o Oversee the allocation of resources (human, technical, financial) to ensure optimal project delivery.
o Track project budgets, ensuring that delivery is on time and within financial constraints.
Continuous Improvement:
o Promote best practices, methodologies, and tools for managing project delivery.
o Advocate for improvements in processes, efficiency, and technical solutions.
Key Requirements:
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
o Minimum of [10] years of experience in project management, with at least [7] years in a technical delivery role.
o Proven experience managing the delivery of complex technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
o Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and other project management frameworks.
Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of software development(preferably Java, microservices based), infrastructure, and cloud-based technologies.
o Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
o Familiarity with AGILE software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
o Strong Reporting and Dashboarding skills
Leadership Skills:
o Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
o Experience managing and mentoring cross-functional teams.
Problem-Solving:
o Ability to think strategically and critically to solve complex technical problems.
o Excellent decision-making and issue resolution skills under pressure.
Certifications (optional but beneficial):
o PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2 Certification.
o Agile Scrum Master certification (CSM or PSM).
o ITIL certification.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Experience working in a client-facing environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance requirements in technology projects.
Working Conditions:
• Full-time position.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Hybrid working with 2-3 days in office.
