About the Role
Airswift is seeking a skilled Data Management Specialist to join one of our major clients. This role involves managing and enhancing critical data systems, supporting engineering platforms, and driving digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Data Management

Oversee the Tag Reservation database, ensuring compliance with naming conventions and managing tag availability. Maintain integration with Refining data systems (APM/SAP/SI/OpenText/PSPPM, etc.). Coordinate with tag-owning groups (Process Control, Fire Team, Lab, Relief Systems). Develop and operate OpenText metadata loaders to improve document search results. Establish tag properties in OpenText by matching data from SAP, SI, and other sources. Mine, validate, and process extracted data for enhanced usability.

Engineering SharePoint Site Support

Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint Pages, Lists, Document Libraries, and manage user access. Build and maintain workflows through the Information Management Service Request Application. Automate department processes using PowerApps and AI models.

Digital Twin Development

Support the planning, development, and maintenance of the refinery’s digital twin platform. Facilitate the integration of local data sources and asset documentation. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

Enhance tag reservation databases and streamline work processes. Improve data accessibility across platforms such as RED, SI, SAP, and OpenText. Automate repetitive tasks for Engineering and Major Projects. Support ArcGIS data integrations and workflows. Assist in OpenText migrations and refining data standardization efforts.

Qualifications and Skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Office Suite, including expertise in complex formulas, macros, and external data queries. General understanding of relational databases. Knowledge of scripting principles; experience with SQL, PowerShell, VBA, and PowerAutomate is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Adaptable team player with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning. High School Diploma/GED required; an Engineering or IT-related degree is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a refining or asset-heavy industrial facility is preferred.
