Technical Contract Manager

The Technical Contract Manager is responsible for all aspects of contract review and management within the defense and aerospace industry, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and driving successful project outcomes.
Job ResponsibilitiesContract Review and Negotiation Evaluate and assess a variety of RFQs. Deliver to estimating team members all essential information and customer expectations from which accurate technical and pricing requirements may be established in the ERP system.  Produce timely quotations resulting in profitable production activities.Review, analyze and negotiate a variety of contracts, including prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and other relevant agreementsAccess all compliance requirements with all applicable federal regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements   Determine flow-down requirements from prime contracts to subcontractors and internal departmentsAdvise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations and risksProject Management Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resourcesIdentify and mitigate potential risks and issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, operations, finance) to ensure successful project executionCustomer Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with customers Proactively communicate with customers on project progress, issues, and changesManage customer expectations and resolve any concerns effectivelyBusiness Development & StrategyAnalyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunitiesContribute to the development of strategic plans to grow the company's presence in the defense marketCollaborate with management to achieve organizational goalsCompliance Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policiesMaintain accurate records and documentation related to all contract activitiesInteract with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and other government agencies as requiredKnowledge/Skills/Experience10+ years of experience in contract management within the defense industryStrong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and CMMC regulationsExperience with contract negotiation and reviewProven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlinesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteEducation/Certification (s)Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field
