The Service Provider team is an amazing group of engineers providing quality technical support services for Cisco hardware and software products worldwide via phone, email, web, and remote access for Service Provider infrastructures. Your Impact:
As a Technical Consulting Engineer, you will:
Work on complex and in-depth problems requiring strong analytical, problem-solving, engineering, and communication skills.Drive successful resolution of technical issues reported by customers and think of innovative ways to prevent future issues.Act as a trusted advisor for our customers.Conduct in-depth research on technical topics, reproduce customer's environments and issues using TAC lab equipment, and engage in technical discussions with product development and engineering teams.Detect potential design issues in customer networks to provide best practices and suggestions for efficient solutions.Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in Service Provider network environments with excellent use of IOS-XR: configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting capabilities.Knowledge of protocols/features such as Routing protocols (ISIS, OSPF, BGP), Multicast, and MPLS technologies: MPLS L3VPN, MPLS L2VPN, EVPN technologies, and Segment Routing.Familiarity with service provider platforms like ASR9k, NCS5k, NCS500, 8000.Strong problem-solving skills.Proficient English communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with broadband (Edge and Aggregation, Cable, Broadband Network Gateway, timing protocols).Experience with Network Synchronization (SyncE and PTP)Telemetry, GNMI (part of automation), and Sonic knowledgeBasic understanding of Linux/UNIX and familiarity with virtualization.Proficiency in scripting skills (Python).Knowledge of Automation/DevOps practices.Passion for learning and working in a multicultural environment.Ability to perform and achieve goals with limited supervision.Proven crisis management skills.#WeAreCisco
