**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled **Payment Technical Business Analyst** to support the Finance and Payment Technology group within the CIO Technology Application organization. This role will focus on the **Global Payment application** , a critical system that processes payment transactions for multiple e-commerce merchants. The application enables secure and efficient transactions, manages billing and payment account information, processes payment requests, and ensures compliance with security and regulatory standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure payment application requirements align with business needs.
+ Define payment processing workflows, identify system integrations, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
+ Manage payment processing features, including billing, payment retries, transaction logging, and reconciliation.
+ Collaborate with development teams to translate business user stories into detailed technical user stories and acceptance criteria.
+ Troubleshoot payment processing issues and recommend scalable solutions.
+ Ensure the application meets compliance standards, including PCI DSS and GDPR.
+ Conduct stakeholder workshops, document workflows, and create process diagrams.
+ Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and defining acceptance criteria.
+ Work with payment orchestration platforms and tools to optimize payment processing.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
**Payment Industry Expertise:**
+ Strong understanding of payment gateways, processors, and acquiring banks.
+ In-depth knowledge of payment types (Credit Cards, ACH, PayPal, Digital Wallets, alternative payment methods).
+ Experience with payment processing workflows (authorization, capture, settlement, chargebacks, refunds, disputes).
+ Familiarity with subscription billing models and recurring payments.
+ Knowledge of payment fraud detection and mitigation techniques.
**Technical Proficiency:**
+ Hands-on experience with payment-related APIs (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON).
+ Understanding of encryption and tokenization for secure payment processing.
+ Experience with high-volume, high-visibility payment systems.
+ Knowledge of batch and real-time transaction processing systems.
**Agile Methodology & Business Analysis:**
+ Expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and Agile tools (VersionOne, ALM).
+ Strong ability to conduct stakeholder workshops, elicit requirements, and document workflows.
+ Ability to create wireframes, process diagrams, and user flows to communicate technical requirements.
**Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:**
+ Proven ability to troubleshoot payment processing issues and propose solutions.
+ Strong decision-making skills to prioritize development features or resolve technical challenges.
**Experience & Education Requirements:**
+ Minimum **10-12 years** of experience in technology or software development.
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field preferred.
+ If a degree is not held, an additional **four years** of relevant work experience is required.
