May coordinate multiple research-related projects. Job Requirements REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in Earth, Environmental Science, or Biology; a minimum of two years of research experience in field biology, ecology, or hydrology, may include experience gained as an undergraduate; specific understanding of field measurement methods in ecology; experience in conducting online research and applying information to projects based on scientific area of study; familiarity with the Harvard Forest and the Plum Island Estuary and with techniques to measure methane and carbon dioxide fluxes in the field; and familiarity with Picaro infrared gas analyzers and techniques for installing gas collection collars in the field, in both soils and on tree stems.
