Core DescriptionResponsible for maintenance repairs and refurbishment of point of sale devices, including desktops, monitors, printers, scanners, etc. Ensure that daily productivity targets are met consistently by identifying, and executing, cost effective repair methods. Perform proper troubleshooting and repairs to mitigate the number of reopened calls
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions• Complete hardware repairs, to component level.
• Utilise tools and instrumentation, including sophisticated Hi-Tech electronic instruments, in the actioning of repairs and quality assurance.
• Setup test jigs for the purpose Quality Assurance (QA) testing.
• Test repaired units, as well as compile quality control documentation for the repaired items.
• Capture the details of the hardware repairs completed on the Navision System.
• Assist with the technical preparedness of field resources through the provision of Basic Repairs Training, as well as conducting training with new Workshop resources.
Minimum 2-years’ experience in repairing and testing hardware and software applications.
Certifications CompTIA A +MCSAMCSECertification in Microsoft Windows and Linux.Linux LPIC (1 and 2), Certified Linux Administrator or CompTIA Linux+.Electronics CertificationProfessional Memberships in Relevant Industry Level of Engagement & Span of ControlSpan of Control
