Transdev, N.A., in Riverside, CA, is looking for hardworking and dependable mechanics to add to our growing maintenance team. This is an hourly position and the starting rate of pay will be based upon experience and qualifications. As a Transdev technician, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a safe, efficient, and well-equipped work environment. Transdev is proud to offer: + The wage range is $38.00 - 40.00 depending on skills & experience + (5) 8-hour shifts- 2 days off a week; most shifts include weekend days off + Opportunities for advancement + Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and life + Training and development + Safety awards Responsibilities: + Diagnostics and repairs of diesel/CNG engines, powertrains, HVAC systems, steering systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and brake systems. + Performs routine and preventative maintenance on Transit buses + Maintains a safe, clean, productive, and efficient work area. + Other duties may be assigned. Requirements: + 21 years or older + Valid driver’s license in good standing for a minimum of 2 years + Ability to obtain Commercial Driving License with passenger and airbrake endorsement. + 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role and/or supervisor or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations + Strong experience with computers, web-based applications, and computerized diagnostics + 2-5 years of practical experience + Pass a DOT physical examination and drug test + Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems + Ability to read, and interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams. + ASE Certification is Required within a year of accruing the position.
