Overview Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or Physician, initiates and discontinues dialysis. The Technician Dialysis I also assists with ancillary duties as directed. Qualifications Age of Patients Served: Adult (18-64 years) Geriatric (=>65 years) Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. Necessary Skills: 1. Ability to function in a high-volume, stressful patient care environment utilizing. 2. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Required Licensure/Certifications: -BLS Certification (American Heart Association) -Dialysis Technician Certification (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved state certification program or a national commercially available certification program) required within 18 months of hire or transfer into the position. -EMT licensure may be substituted for two years of clinical dialysis experience Required Experience: Two (2) years clinical dialysis experience.
