The position involves working closely with field sales leadership to devise strategies that boost productivity and capacity for financial advisors and teams, driving positive sales outcomes in alignment with Thrivent's Growth Playbook. Emphasizing the relationship-centered experience that generates value and drives impact, this role provides unified coaching and direct support to financial advisors, helping them implement growth strategies and achieve business objectives through personalized guidance and group sessions. Responsibilities include team formation and development, addressing operational needs, and focusing on strategic planning. Additionally, the role requires delivering impactful training programs and workshops, using feedback mechanisms and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness, while mentoring future leaders to foster transformational growth, ultimately creating more value for clients and communities.

         

          

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with field sales leadership to develop comprehensive strategies that enhance productivity and capacity for financial advisors and teams driving positive sales outcomes.  

Provide unified coaching in collaboration with field sales leaders and, when necessary, work directly with financial advisors and teams to implement growth strategies and achieve business objectives, conducting one-on-one and group sessions to assess strengths and provide tailored guidance. Develop customized plans to enhance leadership capabilities and professional growth for financial advisors and teams. 

Partner with field sales leadership in all aspects of team formation and development, including team dynamics, role identification, accountability, and conflict resolution. Address operational essentials like business continuity, human capital needs, technology systems integration and tools, financial management, and communication. Focus on strategic planning areas such as marketing and financial advisory business practices. 

Coach and influence advisors to create teaming arrangements, guiding them through teaming best practices that foster transformational growth and positively impact their business performance and client relationships. 

Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert, offering guidance and support to current and future next-generation leaders, helping them develop their skills and confidence to drive impactful change within their teams. 

Develop and deliver engaging training programs and workshops that focus on leadership, team management, client relationship building, and financial advisory best practices, ensuring participants understand the critical importance of these skills for their professional growth and organizational success. 

Develop and implement feedback mechanisms and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness and utilization of training programs and workshops. Utilize data-driven insights for continuous improvements and iterations, and regularly report on progress. 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:   

 Required: 

Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.  

Proven experience in coaching financial advisors, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role. 

Practice management experience with advanced teaming structures, including expertise in client service models, team building, and model office practices. 

Experience in content creation and facilitation, skilled in presenting to drive understanding and success in large or small group settings. 

Demonstrated ability to manage change effectively, with a flexible and adaptable approach, while maintaining a strong results-oriented focus. 

Proficient with internal sales advice platforms designed for delivering personalized client experiences, Salesforce, and other tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Power BI) 

 

Preferred:   

Prior experience leading sales groups, financial advisors or offices.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $74,275.00 - $100,489.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
