Responsibilities
Purpose of the role
The post holder will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team within CGL Southwark, to deliver high quality provision to service users.
As a Women’s Lead team Leader, the post holder will be expected to work with women and act as a practice lead within the service. Develop partnerships with women’s support services and groups. Ensure that services are accessible for women to access structured treatment and harm reduction support within the community.
The post holder will ensure a high quality and consistent service to women, who traditionally and regularly find our services challenging to access. Service users will have either drug and/or alcohol related issues and may also have a co-morbidity or complexity of need.
The post holder will also work closely with CGL Southwark Community and Outreach Team and offer support for women who may be sex working and/or rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness. They will be expected to engage with women across community locations, to make the service more accessible. The post-holder will be responsible for up-skilling other community organisations to identify and refer women to substance misuse services.
The post holder will work with women to co-develop individualised recovery plans. These will be focused on harm reduction and psychosocial interventions, in addition to working holistically with women in relation to their wider support needs. This will include up-skilling and supporting CGL colleagues to meet the needs of women in treatment.
