The LCI Team Leader is responsible for supervising a crew of landscape technicians.  Works to maintain landscaped grounds to a specified high standard. Goodwill Industries of North Florida has an opening for a Landscape Technician for immediate placement in the Jacksonville/Orange Park area.  This is a full-time position with competitive pay, weekly paychecks and an attractive benefits package which includes medical, dental, paid time off and 403b retirement.

Job Duties

Grounds maintenanceIdentification and removal of plants determined to be weeds in their present locationsRemoval of any debris, litter, and trash in and around shrub bedsSupervision of Landscape TechniciansRemoval of dead leaves, flowers and other materials, and trimming as instructedComplaint resolutionAdd additional mulch and removing mulch from bedsAssist other staff with other landscaping responsibilities as needed

Minimum Qualifications

High school or GED preferredPrior landscaping preferred, but not requiredValid Florida driver's license requiredMust be able to work flexible hoursPrior supervisory experience preferredMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of timeMust be able to perform duties that require a great deal of bendingAble to use edger, leaf blower and lawn mower to maintain groundsAbility to work in extreme weather conditionsKnowledge of or willingness to learn, use of tools, equipment and supplies relative to landscaping dutiesExcellent customer service and communication skills
