The Role:
We're hiring the Team Leader - Dispatcher & Driver to join our World Courier office in Hoofddorp, Netherlands.
You'll managing the team of Dispatchers and Drivers.
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, between 5:30am - 21:00 on a rota basis.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility for the daily running of the Dispatch and drivers department, to ensure that personnel are working to their full potential, that work is evenly distributed among staff and to ensure the equipment is being utilized correctly.Conduct regular meetings to discuss the running of the Dispatch and Driver departmentTo plan, prepare and devise shifts schedules & ensure the department is always adequately covered.To ensure that customers are receiving the highest level of Customer Service from our vendorsObserve and evaluate workers & vendors performance and to offer assistance where required in the Dispatch and driver department.Ensure that Staff & Vendors are up to date on all aspects of their role and are fully trained in their disciplines. All new guidelines and technologies are to be immediately implemented.Keep staff & vendors regularly informed of any new operational issues which may impact on their duties.Identifying, sourcing and onboarding of new vendorsAssessment of current vendors, reviewing performance levels, new lane assessment and negotiating costs down where possible.Have regular contact with Management to discuss customer complaints and any issues. Suggest change where necessary.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years Dispatch and Warehouse experience and/or formal qualificationMinimum 3 years of experience in team management of Dispatchers and DriversExperience and knowledge of handling ADR, Air Cargo Security, GDP, AEOMust have strong experience and knowledge of Dispatch, Warehousing / Operational tasksMust have experience managing relationships with key vendorsFluency in Dutch (Native level) and English (Essential)MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
