Job DescriptionAs an Active Directory Team Lead(m/f/diverse) you will be leading a motivated, collaborative, and skilled team of Directory Services Specialists in a global environment which supports Continental Tires in maintaining and operating the Active Directory multi domain forest environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Active Directory and leadership skills to manage and mentor the team effectively. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our AD infrastructure while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
In this exciting job you work on the following tasks:
Lead and manage a global team of Active Directory engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Active Directory infrastructure, including forests, domains, and organizational units. Ensure the security and compliance of the AD environment by developing and enforcing policies and procedures. Serve as the final escalation point for critical issues, providing support for disaster recovery, environment stabilization, and capacity restoration. Drive analysis, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies related to Active Directory in Continental. Troubleshoot and resolve complex AD-related issues in close cooperation with the specialists, external partners, vendors and other IT teams. Participate in IT and business projects related to Active Directory implementation in Continental. Conduct regular audits and health checks of the AD environment to identify and mitigate potential risks. Collaborate with Cyber Security on a regular basis to define and implement relevant security concepts and ensure compliance with Continental corporate standards. Consulting for Active Directory, Azure AD and Federation Services for internal customers in Continental. Stay updated with the latest AD technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification. Multiple years of experience in managing Active Directory environments and several years of experience in leading a global international and multicultural team. Comprehensive AD knowledge in the area of replication, topology, troubleshooting, monitoring and auditing tools. Thorough Knowledge of ITIL with respect to Incident, Change and Problem Management. First experience in the field of Microsoft Entra ID, Red Forest and PowerShell scriptingAbility to creatively solve problems with minimal guidance, while maintaining a timely, cost-effective approach. Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA are beneficial. Professional working proficiency in English Project management and communication skills.Good organizer and analytical thinker. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams.Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
