The Governing Body and Headteacher is looking to appoint a Grade 6 Teaching Assistant with class cover to work throughout school. The role will require some class cover and will not be based in one class. The successful candidate will also work directly with the pupils and their families to identify barriers to learning and establish a personal action plan and a pastoral support plan as appropriate. They will establish and maintain supportive relationships with pupils with the clear aim of developing strategies which re-engage them within education in the wider sense. The successful candidate will also become a part of the attendance team, tackling issues of absence.  Knowledge and experience of either Key Stage is desirable.
