Morongo Band of Mission Indians invites professional educators to apply for future teaching opportunities with Morongo School. Morongo School Teachers will play an integral role in creating the foundation and legacy of academic rigor and a joyful school culture. Our teachers will set the bar high; provide an education that will open doors, shift mindsets, and provide opportunities for students; and will believe in the innate desire to learn and limitless potential of all students. Teachers will teach core subjects (English Language Arts, Math, Writing, History, Science and Culture) each day. Teachers are responsible for collaborating with their instructional coach and administrator. Morongo School teachers are responsible for intellectual preparation for each lesson, building strong and positive relationships with students and families, using data to tailor their instruction, and actively collaborating with colleagues. Requirements / Qualifications

• Unwaveringly high expectations for all students with the belief that every child should have access to a rigorous education. • Track record of quantifiable and objective student performance gains that surpass state or local averages. • Successful manager of a classroom who has used structure, incentives, and high expectations to drive student success. • Ability to work with a variety of learning abilities, including those with special needs in a heterogeneously grouped classroom setting. • Willingness to work hard and get better fast. Eagerness to engage with and learn from instructional coaches who provide frequent written and in-the moment coaching on instruction and to fully participate in all weekly individualized coaching meetings and professional development sessions. • An “all hands-on deck” mentality and willingness to do whatever it takes to build and maintain an achievement driven student culture and positive, professional staff culture. • Basic understanding of data analysis. • Professional demeanor. •    Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

•    Possession of a clear multiple-subject or single-subject CA teaching credential. •    Minimum 2 years of teaching preferred.  •    First Aid/CPR clearance •    TB clearance
