The Teacher Assistant will work closely with lead teachers to promote academic achievement, social-emotional development, and school readiness, helping to create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom experience. Key Responsibilities + Assist the classroom teacher in preparing instructional materials and organizing classroom activities. + Provide academic support to individual students or small groups, reinforcing lessons and helping to clarify directions and concepts. + Supervise students in a variety of settings, including the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and during arrival and dismissal times. + Monitor and manage student behavior in alignment with school expectations and classroom rules. + Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. + Observe student progress and behavior, and communicate observations with the teacher to support learning outcomes. + Perform clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and organizing instructional materials as needed. + Participate in faculty meetings, staff development sessions, and required training. + Support school events and classroom celebrations as needed. + Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, teachers, and occasionally with families. + Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head of School or classroom teacher.
