As a Product Control Associate in the Treasury Chief Investment Office (TCIO) team, you will have the opportunity to support key Middle Office processes for JP Morgan Treasury Chief Investment Office. You will be instrumental in producing and substantiating P&L and Risk to CIO/Treasury Front Office/Management, providing valuable analysis and commentary to portfolio managers. Your role will also involve working closely with the Finance Controllers team on month-end P&L reconciliation and promoting the implementation of robust controls and new business initiatives. This role offers the chance to collaborate with various stakeholders and serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control.
Job responsibilities:
Produce and substantiate of P&L (profit and loss) and Risk to CIO/Treasury Front Office/ManagementProvide relevant analysis and commentary to portfolio manager(s) in order to facilitate their daily book(s) review and sign-offPerform selected month end P&L reconciliation and work closely with Finance Controllers team to ensure proper reconciliation of P&L & Balance SheetPartner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiativesParticipate in the identification or development of technology to support new business flowsDrive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely mannerWork in close partnership with various stake holders i.e. Markets Risk, Finance, Business Management, Valuation Control Group, other Line of Business controllers, technology & Project Management Office on BAU/ad hoc management requestsServe as an analytical and project support resource for product controlHandle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basisRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related areaExperience doing P&L and month end close processBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related areaUnderstanding of financial products Problem solving attitudeAnalytical skills and attention to detail including a control focusExcellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
