Description We are in search of a Tax Staff - Public to become a part of our team in Pismo Beach, California. You will be working in a CPA firm, where your primary role will be to process client tax data, maintain accurate records, and resolve client inquiries. Additionally, you will be expected to monitor client accounts and undertake suitable actions when necessary. Responsibilities: • Accurately process client tax data and ensure efficient execution • Maintain accurate records of client tax data • Address and resolve client inquiries related to tax preparation and planning • Monitor client accounts and take appropriate action based on audit findings • Develop familiarity with relevant Internal Revenue Code sections and regulations • Utilize firm resources to enhance knowledge and research techniques • Gain proficiency in the preparation of various tax returns including corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary • Adhere to detail-oriented standards and ensure compliance with all accounting principles • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Management System for accounting functions • Work in a hybrid remote environment in Pismo Beach, CA 93449. Requirements • 2+ years of tax experience • Proficiency in using a management system is necessary for the role. • Mastery of Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced functions, is required. • Familiarity with standard accounting functions is a must-have. • Experience in auditing tasks, such as verifying data and assessing financial operations, is needed. • The role requires an understanding of compliance regulations and the ability to ensure that they are followed. • The candidate must have the ability to prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently. • A solid understanding of accounting principles is essential for the role.
