Our client is in search of a Tax Sr. - Corporate to join our team situated in Mountain View, California. As part of your role, you will be expected to prepare and complete work papers, handle client deliverables. You will also be tasked with preparing taxes for High Net Worth clients. Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently prepare all tax deliverables for assigned clients/entities, modifying deliverables upon review by Manager/Senior Manager/Principal
• Actively participate in the resolution of tax issues by providing a detailed focus on assigned projects and alerting the Manager/Senior Manager/Principal of any technical tax issues
• Identify potential tax issues and propose possible solutions for review with Tax Manager, Senior Manager, or Principal
• Ensure the delivery of timely and quality work products that meet or exceed internal and external expectations
• Research technical tax issues and assist the client service team in forming conclusions related to complex tax issues
• Work on the management of existing client revenue through the review of work in progress and preparation of billings for special projects/consulting services provided to the client
• Form networks of internal and external parties to grow existing business and/or lead to the development of new business opportunities
• Communicate areas where technical tax knowledge is needed and work with Manager/Senior Manager/Principal to determine personal development
• Provide mentorship and assist Managers in the training and supervision of tax associates.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax role
• Proficiency in ERP Solutions is essential
• Experience in preparing and reviewing federal tax returns
• Demonstrable expertise in individual tax matters
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is desirable
• Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with tax software and research tools.
