Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
2-+ years of experience with BOTH individual and corporate income tax required.
Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, tax regulations, and IRS guidelines.
Proficiency in tax software (ProSeries preferred ) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Specialist with a CPA to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with clients to identify and resolve tax issues, ensuring optimal solutions tailored to their needs. You will provide expert tax planning and advice to both individuals and businesses, prepare and file complex tax returns, and stay up-to-date with current tax laws and regulations. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to client service.
Responsibilities include:
Work directly with clients to identify and resolve tax issues, ensuring they receive optimal solutions tailored to their needs.Provide expert tax planning and advice to clients, including individuals and businesses.Prepare and file complex tax returns for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations.Negotiate with federal, state, and local tax authorities on behalf of clients to resolve disputes and secure favorable outcomes.Stay up-to-date with current tax laws, regulations, and IRS guidelines to provide accurate and effective guidance.Review tax filings and ensure proper documentation for compliance.Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and educating them on tax resolution options.Assist in other tax-related projects and tasks as needed.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
