Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in the Tax Consulting industry. The position is located in West Allis, Wisconsin. As a Tax Preparer, you will be tasked with the preparation of various tax forms, utilization of Drake tax software, and providing client support, among other responsibilities. Responsibilities: • Utilize Drake tax software for tax preparation tasks • Accurately prepare tax forms such as 1040, Schedule A, B, C, D, and E • Provide support during client intake and pickup processes when needed • Manage a high-paced workload while collaborating with CPAs • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of corporate and individual tax processes • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when required • Maintain accurate customer credit records • Process customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax preparation role • Proficiency in Drake Software - Tax Solution • Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations • Expertise in corporate tax preparation • Experience in individual tax preparation • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities • Current knowledge of changing tax regulations and codes • Good organizational and time management skills • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discretely • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
