Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer at our CPA firm located in ONEIDA, New York. In this role, you will be primarily tasked with tax preparation and general accounting assistance. Responsibilities: • Prepare and file tax returns for clients • Provide general accounting assistance as needed • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of tax returns • Keep up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations • Assist clients in understanding and meeting their tax obligations • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion • Collaborate with the team to ensure client satisfaction and resolve issues • Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns • Manage client records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date • Continually seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency. Requirements • Proficient in tax software and databases. • Comprehensive understanding of tax laws and regulations. • Ability to handle confidential information • Strong mathematical and analytical skills. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns. • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure. • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple clients and files. • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with clients. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Good communication skills, both written and verbal. • Commitment to continuous development in tax regulations and laws.
