Description We are seeking a diligent Tax Preparer to join our team remotely on a contract to potentially permanent, permanent basis (40 hours per week). The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing up to a couple hundred tax returns, with the potential opportunity to engage in tax advisory services as an added bonus. Responsibilities: + Preparation and review of tax returns, specifically 1120 S business returns, 1040 personal returns and the associated schedule C. + Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws. + Utilize ProSeries Desktop in Cloud software for tax preparation (experience not necessary but would be a plus). + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations. Provide tax advisory services where necessary (not a requirement but a bonus). + Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information. The candidate must exhibit excellent problem-solving skills, attention-to-detail, and an ability to stay focused during the busy tax season. Requirements Qualifications: + Proven experience as a tax preparer. + Detailed knowledge of tax laws and regulations. + Understanding of 1120 S Business Tax Return and 1040 Personal Tax Return preparation. + Familiarity with accounting software, ProSeries Desktop in Cloud is a plus. + Strong communication skills to effectively relay tax information to a diverse group of clients. + High level of ethics and consistency.
