Description We are looking for a meticulous Tax Preparer for our team located in Westerville, Ohio. In this role, you will be primarily tasked with preparing and reviewing tax documents during the tax season. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Assist in preparing tax returns for a variety of clients • Review tax documents to ensure accuracy and completeness • Identify potential tax credits and liabilities • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws • Address client inquiries related to tax preparation and review • Keep up-to-date with latest tax regulations and policies • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data. Requirements • Applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Tax Preparer is essential. • Proficiency in tax preparation software and thorough knowledge of tax laws. • Strong numeracy and analytical skills. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail. • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients. • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Good problem-solving and research skills. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • A proactive approach to staying updated on changes in tax regulations and laws. • Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service. • Ability to handle high volumes of complex tax returns. • Commitment to continuous learning and development in the field of tax preparation.
