Tax Manager - Senior Tax Manager

Job Duties and Qualifications Under broad direction, manages US indirect taxes to include sales & use tax, unclaimed property and severance tax on a multi-state basis across multiple legal entities Responsible for audit defense / controversy strategies, including audit design, technical research, audit workpaper review and audit appeals Directly manage sales/use tax compliance team Responsible for tax technical research/analysis to support tax positions taken Special Projects M&A transaction support Systems experience including SAP/Vertex preferred CCH/RIA or similar research tool experience required Responsible for mentoring, career development and coaching of personnel Excellent analytical, problem-solving ability, verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in larger SALT team environment Requires an undergraduate degree in accounting or related field and 7+ years of US indirect tax experience Applicable professional certification preferred Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirement will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from the Tax Manager up to the Senior Tax Manager
