Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager in the Public sector. The role is based in West Palm Beach, Florida, 33409, United States. As a Tax Manager, you will manage high-net-worth client engagements, provide tax compliance, planning, and consulting services, and engage in trust and estate planning. The role involves reviewing staff deliverables, handling complex tax returns, conducting research, and providing strategic tax solutions. Training staff and maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring timely, high-quality results are also part of this role. Responsibilities • Lead high-net-worth client engagements, delivering tax compliance, planning, and consulting services • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP • Participate in client development and retention for existing and prospective clients • Manage complex tax returns, conduct research, and provide strategic tax solutions • Review and manage staff deliverables, including tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations for various entities • Handle larger accounts and oversee high-value client engagements • Develop and review tax planning projections for estimated tax liabilities • Assist clients with tax-related issues, including notices, collections, and appeals • Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues to provide informed advice • Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on understanding their businesses and needs • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff, fostering their growth in detail-oriented tasks • Stay current on tax and accounting principles, practices, and regulations • Manage invoicing, fee communication, and collections as needed • Provide innovative tax strategies and identify potential tax risks • Sign tax returns as part of client service responsibilities Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. • Demonstrable experience in various Accounting Functions. • Ability to handle Annual Income Tax Provision. • Expertise in Auditing is required. • Must be able to ensure Compliance in all tax-related matters. • Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software is necessary. • Experience in Financial Statement Preparation is needed. • Capable of handling Month End Close and Year End Closings. • Knowledge of S-Corps and Partnership Returns is required. • Experience in Fund Accounting - Non-Profit is desirable. • Familiarity with Non-profit Accounting is a plus. • Experience in Single Audit (non-profit) is beneficial. • Ability to Prepare Annual Budgets is required. • Experience in Collections management is desirable. • Should hold a CPA Designation or be CPA Eligible. • Experience in preparing Complex Tax Return and Consolidated Tax Return is needed. • Must be able to manage Financial Risks.
