**About the Role**
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Tax Manager with strong tax technical skills to join our growing EMEA tax team based in Amsterdam. This versatile, dynamic and strategic role will involve providing technical tax expertise on various matters, including international tax planning, transfer pricing, indirect taxes, etc, depending on the project. The successful candidate will also participate in strategic initiatives and team-related projects. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant tax experience, ideally gained within a Big 4 accounting firm, a law firm, and/or an in-house tax function within a multinational corporation.
**What You'll Do**
1. Provide tax technical expertise on complex international tax issues, including both direct and indirect taxes.
2. Monitor and analyze legislative developments, assessing their impact and providing strategic tax guidance.
3. Lead and engage in strategic tax planning projects and actively contribute to broader tax and business initiatives.
4. Support and collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and Operational teams, ensuring alignment of tax strategies with overall corporate objectives.
5. Contribute proactively to internal projects aimed at improving processes, controls, and team efficiencies.
6. Participate in managing tax audits, inquiries, and interactions with tax authorities when country support is required in EMEA.
**What You'll Need**
1. At least 5 years of relevant tax experience, ideally gained within a Big 4 accounting firm, a law firm, and/or an in-house tax function within a multinational corporation
2. At least a bachelor's degree in law, accounting, finance, or a related discipline; relevant professional qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) or LLM in Tax would be an advantage.
3. Excellent technical knowledge of international tax principles, transfer pricing, indirect taxes (VAT/DST), and relevant EMEA tax legislation.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, coupled with the ability to provide clear, actionable advice.
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to build effective relationships across diverse teams and functions.
6. Highly organized self-starter, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
7. Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
