FactSet is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join a collaborative and growing Global Tax Team. We are looking for a seasoned professional with a good mix of industry and professional service firm experience. You will be responsible for the Company’s income tax compliance for the US and the consolidated accounting for income taxes. This will include supporting the Global Tax Department by preparing supporting schedules for tax calculations, provisions, transfer pricing, ETR forecasts and tax audit requirements.
What you’ll do:
Manage the accurate preparation of the annual and quarterly income tax provisions for FactSet and its subsidiaries (under ASC 740), as well as quarterly tax entries, reconciliations, related tax disclosures, and tax projections. Day-to-day management of the US federal income tax compliance processes for FactSet Oversee the validation of deferred taxes and taxes payable balances. Manage the income tax forecasting model/process and prepare the income tax forecast in collaboration with Financial Strategy and Planning. Review Uncertain Tax Positions (UTP) analysis and ensure accurately reflected within financial statements and tax footnotes. Assist with analyzing and documenting the tax implications of any acquisitions or divestitures. Manage and support local country finance and tax controllers in executing income tax provision calculations including currency impacts Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and automation of systems used in the income tax provision process to continually improve tax functions (tax provision software tool, etc.). Research tax law changes, regulations, rulings, etc. which might affect FactSet and Subsidiaries and determine income tax accounting impacts. Provide technical analysis and guidance to management on income tax implications of federal and state tax legislation and accounting developments. Assist with the management of the quarterly tax reporting document and workflow process. Coordinate with other tax professionals assisting with the provision and income tax accounting process and related responsibilities.Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree5 + years tax compliance experience Expert knowledge of ASC 740 (Income Tax Accounting) Familiarity with Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Tax Provision software Strong tax accounting skills Demonstrated ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work independently on management and execution of day-to-day responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and explain complex tax technical issues Excellent communication skills: ability to work cross-functionally and develop relationships with other corporate teams. Ability to work a hybrid schedule (two days a week) from an office in NYC or Norwalk, CTMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
