The Tax Director – International and Technology is responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the organization's global tax position by overseeing US foreign tax reporting and the implementation and management of tax technology. This position ensures accurate and efficient global tax reporting for the entire company, supporting requirements for public financial reporting and contributing to the financial integrity of our organization. Additionally, they provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax-related matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, and international tax planning and compliance. They also provide guidance and oversight of the tax technology platforms, applications and improvements. The Tax Director – International and Technology stays updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assesses their impact on the company, making recommendations for adjustments to tax strategies as necessary. They also work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

What You'll Do

International Tax Reporting Duties

Research and evaluate the organization's past, current, and potential international tax positions and consequences.Serve as a valuable international tax resource for the organization and external advisors.Model and analyze tax-related data and make recommendations to minimize tax costs.Identify and mitigate tax risks.Evaluate tax provision and compliance processes, implementing improvements when necessary.Maintain current knowledge in international tax laws and regulations, assess impact of changes on the company and appropriately document conclusions.Analyze and collaborate with foreign team members regarding optimal structuring and integration of foreign acquisitions or new foreign entities.Manage the US international tax requirements and workpapers including the co-source relationship with external providers for the income tax return compliance process.Prepare and/or review the foreign components and disclosures in the quarterly and annual worldwide US GAAP tax provision in accordance with ASC 740.Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance.Manage the transfer pricing reporting documentation through an external advisor.Design and document effective internal controls.Coach, develop and supervise team members including Tax Accountants and Senior Tax Accountants.

Technical Tax Duties

Implement and manage tax provision software/platform.Evaluate and suggest technology enhancements or applications to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function.Collaborate with and manage vendor relationships to optimize reporting processes.Handle software troubleshooting and triage.Oversee the collection and management of data required for tax provision and compliance, financial statements, and other reporting materials.Ensure compliance with public company tax reporting requirements.Collaborate with IT team to drive continuous improvement in tax reporting processes and systems. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in corporate tax, with a focus on international tax and including experience with tax provision software and public company tax reporting.

Strong knowledge of international tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Experience in a leadership role, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.

IT-Tax experience to handle software, vendor management, troubleshooting, and triage.
