The company is currently seeking an experienced Tax Accountant II.

Responsibilities

Primary Purpose

Sales tax, personal property tax, business licenses, 1099s, quarterly tax provision. This position reports to the Tax Sr. Manager. 

Major Areas of Responsibility

Other projects as assignedPrepare files for quarterly tax provsionPrepare files necessary for sales tax return preparation (by third party) and reconciliationPrepare and file local business license taxesMaintain compliance calendar Audit support as needed

Knowledge

Computer Programs— Strong working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelEnglish Language— Knowledge of structure and content of English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar Qualifications

Strong analytical and quantitative competencies Ability to multi-task and solve problems Possess intellectual agility; readily accepts challenges of unfamiliar taskSpeaks and writes clearly and effectively even when relating complex information. Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent3-4 years experience in a corporate tax department (non-public accounting)Experience with Longview Tax Provision Software a plusExperience in preparing corporate income tax returns and/or provision workExperience in filing sales tax returnsExperience with SAP a plusCPA not required

Demonstrated Physical Abilities

Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
