Talent Acquisition Manager

Scope:

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for creating and executing a strategy to successfully attract, hire, and maintain a continuous pipeline of well-qualified talent with primary focus on manufacturing and distribution and secondary focus on remaining Heartland USA locations. In addition, the Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for new employee orientation and onboarding.


Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Partner with functional leaders to identify and develop talent management strategies, identify gaps and plan processes to support business initiatives and prioritiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive plan to build a sustainable talent pipeline and foster a talent mindset across the business unit Responsible for applicant tracking system tools and develops, analyzes, and reports on recruitment performance metricsResponsible for recruitment, selection, and interviewing of professional staff including Technical and Operations roles.  This also includes attracting passive candidates through sourcing activities. Responsible for recruitment, selection, and interviewing of plant employees and works jointly with supervisory and department heads in the hiring of employeesDevelop relationships with community programs and schools to promote Heartland career opportunitiesLeading the recruitment function including leading teams, managing direct reports, and making recommendations for improvementsManage the Heartland Recruiter function and positively partner with Plant Human Resources teamParticipate in additional Human Resource activity as needed, including, but not limited to employee relations, audits, luncheons, picnics, recognition, etc.All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required, PHR or SPHR strongly preferredMinimum of 6 years HR experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment, preferably in food, with emphasis on talent acquisitionDemonstrated sense of urgency, passion for people and the ability to partner with the businessWorking knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and Microsoft Office Products

 

Physical Demands: 

Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of timeMust be able to work extended hours as needed/required Must possess visual acuity to document company records
