Tableau Developer Analyst

Leidos is looking for a part time Tableau Developer Analyst to support the ESA V program 20 hours a week.  ESA V is an IT applications and infrastructure services program supporting several customers within the Department of Justice (DOJ).  The program provides a range of IT services, including software application support, enterprise infrastructure support, service desk, ITSM, deskside support, workstation engineering and maintenance, telecommunications and mobility engineering services, managed print services, Active Directory services, and video conferencing. The program is expanding and is adding support for the Criminal Division (CRM).  This position provides dedicated support in Tableau Reports and Dashboards development for the CRM customer. The person selected for this position will work together with customers from various Sections and a Technical team performing custom Oracle application development, custom web development and SharePoint development and administration for the CRM customer.

The ideal candidate will be personable and articulate and will focus on making sure that the customer’s needs are met quickly and effectively.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work with limited supervision.  Excellent communication skills are required to effectively interface with customers to understand requirements and mission needs, and then be able to translate them into actions. 

This position is required to be onsite 16 hours a week in Washington, DC metro area at one of the primary customer (CRM) locations. The other 4 hours can be worked remotely from home.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and manage Tableau driven advanced reports and dashboards per customer requests.

Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.

Conduct unit test and develop database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.

Review and improve existing system integration and collaborate with teams to integrate new systems.

Collaborate with Application developers, data scientists, and architects to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years experience working with Business Intelligence teams and with issues unique to that area or Masters degree with 2+ years experience. High school diploma with additional years experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Excellent user experience and customer experience skills with proactive communication and collaboration with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, by means of email, presentations, and mobile communication platforms.

A solid understanding of SQL server, Oracle databases, and normalization.

Working knowledge of Tableau administration/ architecture.

Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

The ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance.

U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in use of query and other reporting analysis tools

Competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)

Familiarity with Python, R, etc.

Government contracting experience, particularly with the DOJ.

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
