General Description
Performs advanced professional, technical and analytical work with administrative responsibility in automation systems implementation and development.
Works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Cloud Environment Support: Providing technical support for resources hosted in our cloud environments, adhering to best practices for cloud security configuration and management. Help implement the latest cloud technologies within Broward County.
Security Vulnerability Remediation: Working with the team to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities within the server infrastructure. This ensures timely patching and mitigation of potential security threats.
On-Call Support: Participating in the on-call rotation to provide support for changes approved by the change control process. This ensures smooth implementation of approved changes while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. Provide after-hours support as part of the rotation.
DHCP Management: Processing and supporting new DHCP reservation requests to ensure proper network device addressing.
Manages and administers the virtual infrastructure: Plans and implements upgrades to the virtual infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
Analyzes systems designs: Analyzes systems designs, develops efficiencies of current technology, documents workflow and processes.
Installs and configures hardware and software: Installs, configures, and support server software which include the virtual and backup environment.
Continuous Education: Performing technical research and development to enable continuing innovation.
Performs related work as assigned: Performs other duties as assigned, such as training and mentoring new staff, and provide support to other department with ETS.
User Account Management: Granting and managing user access to network resources following the principle of least privilege. This ensures users have the minimum permissions necessary to perform their jobs effectively while minimizing security risks.
Printer Server Management: Managing and maintaining the organization's print servers, including troubleshooting printer issues and ensuring optimal print server performance.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a two (2) year degree from an accredited trade, technical or vocational school, college or university with major coursework in computer science or closely related field.
(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)
Requires four (4) years in supporting users and analyzing computer systems within the infrastructure workplace or closely related experience.
